DIRECTOR
I grew up in the KZN midlands area and found myself in the Overberg region in 2018 after a career in the Oil & Gas industry. I am a Red Seal qualified Electrician and have a passion for keeping up with the latest in renewable technologies. The Overberg region has a great variety of electrical work that ensures the working environment is always changing and exciting as well and an amazing place to live.
I enjoy spending time outdoors and keeping active with my dogs.
SHAUN
DIRECTOR
I grew up in a small town outside Durban, KZN. I’m married and have 2 sons. After school I became a commercial diver and subsea inspection engineer. My offshore career ended in 2019 when I became a full time apprentice electrician. I am currently studying towards my N3 national diploma and Red Seal trade certificate. I thrive on maintaining a very high work standard and exceeding client expectations. My hobbies include riding motorbikes and trail running.
PETER
FOUNDING MEMBER
I served my apprenticeship as an electrician with the Chamber of Mines on the coalfields. Soon after qualifying as a red seal electrician, I passed my wireman’s license and joined Eskom’s Natal undertaking. In 1993 I completed a B.Comm degree and soon thereafter left Eskom. I subsequently owned 2 electrical busniness’ both in Hillcrest KZN and Hermanus. I am currently semi-retired, working part-time as a licensed, registered electrician. I enjoy fishing and taking my dog for walks on Grotto beach.
CLIFF
I have spent time working with an electrical company doing electrical reticulation works and I joined Eclipse Energy at the beginning of 2022. I enjoy solving electrical problems and I am aiming for the Red Seal Electricians Certificate. I currently live in Stanford with my partner and son.
I enjoy spending time with my family and working with my hands.
DAVID
My passion for electrical work started 8 years ago whilst working for a company based in Cape Town. I then relocated to Hermanus and started working for Eclipse Energy at the beginning of 2023. I enjoy problem solving and the challenges that are presented. In my spare time my hobbies are fishing, cooking and being outdoors.
JUAN
My previous career was in conservation as a seabird rehabilitator on Bird Island in the Eastern Cape. I am currently an apprentice at Eclipse Energy learning as much as possible from the team. My aim is to do my N-levels and trade certificate to become more qualified in the electrical field. My hobbies include spending time exlporing wildlife and snorkeling.
BRIGHTON
Prior to joining Eclipse Energy I worked in various sectors of industry namely papermaking, retail (sales and marketing) as well as teaching. My objective is to ensure that I am actively involved in the growth of the business. I am currently an apprentice and aim to gain as much electrical knowledge as possible. I am married with three kids and I have an active leadership role in my church.
DAN
I started doing Engineering Studies at False Bay College while working for my church in my home town of Somerset West. When I finished my N3 I started working as an electrical apprentice until I became an
assistant electrician at Eclipse
Energy in 2023. I am now working
towards getting my red seal and my aim is to get my wiremans. I enjoy woodworking and I’m actively involved with my church.
ASHLEY
I have a background in Nature Conservation and was a field guide at the Addo Elephant National park in the Eastern Cape. My family is involved in electrical contracting and this is where I gained my knowledge. I am currently an apprentice at Eclipse Energy. My goal is to become a qualified electrician. I enjoy conservation, the outdoors and playing sport, my favourite being Baseball.
TINUS
I come from a construction background. I have 2 years experience in the industry and have also been in charge of maintenance at a guest house. I am currently an apprentice at Eclipse Energy learning from the team and my aim to become a qualified electrician. My hobbies include gardening and playing Playstation in my spare time.
Lucien
I have an electrical and construction background. I am currently an apprentice at Eclipse Energy. My goals is to bring my organisational skills into play and to fulfill a more senior position in the company. In my spare time I enjoy fishing and I love working on cars.
